People seem to like my work where i live. I tend bar at this restaurant in town and in it is a display case, right next to the front door. My boss put me in charge of getting local artists to display thier artwork in this case. So, every few months or so, and as i get new photographs finished, i display my own work. I've even sold a few.
But, i live in a rather closed-minded and art deprived town in the south. I think my artwork stands out only because it's a rarity.
I'd like to (and do) think i have a good eye for perspectives, shades and textures. I can usually, with minimal work, look through the lens and imagine what the phograph will look like when i'm done developing it.
I'm not looking for any kind of varification or support. I'm going to do my craft for as long as i enjoy doing it. I'm relatively new to photography (having only been actively taking photographs for 5 years), but I think that as i improve, the artform will open itself up to me more and that there are many, many avenues to explore before i put down my camera.
